A new author at RMT, I've had previous experience at TheFourthPeriod.com and am currently the owner of Sportsfiend.ca, which is a multi-sports site.
I have been a hockey fan my entire life. I remember watching as a child as my father would tune in to any games with Czechoslovakia versus the Soviet (my family is Czech). It was those early childhood memories that engraved my love for hockey into the fabric of my person.
One thing I have learned is that hockey is a sport best enjoyed for its players, not its teams. Steve Yzerman is a rare commodity, meaning that rooting for a particular team may mean losing touch with your idols.
While Jagr is the player I admire most from a skill standpoint, I think Yzerman is the epitomy of professional sports, because of his genuine nature, his passion for the game, and his gentlemanly approach to what can be quite a soap-opera at times.

I am a die hard Red Wings fan ever since I turned 13, plan to be one my whole life.
I played hockey on a minor level, but I wasn't very good, I never made the team, so I decided to step aside and leave the game to pros.

Lee is still a relatively new hockey fan but thanks to his friend Andy, he attended his very first NHL game in February of 2006 and has been a fan ever since.
The Blue Jackets are his favorite, but being an alumni of The Ohio State University, there's a place in his heart for all things OSU.
Lee is in his first year as a band director at Valley Local Schools, in Lucasville, Ohio.

Born and raised in Montreal, always have been a Hab fan, always will. I aspire to become a sports journalist or work in hockey operations for a NHL organization. Favorite players include pretty much the whole Canadiens roster, as well as Alex Ovechkin, Vincent Lecavalier, Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg.

Introducing the Blunt Hick. I'm the son of a hay farmer, making me one tough customer, who is not afraid to express opinions. I will fill the site's vacant position as Rural Sports Nut. I hope to awaken some good debate through articles that I write, as I tend to be blunt and don't always side with the majority opinion.
I became a hard core Detroit Red Wings fan at the age of seven, due to a trip to the Joe Louis Arena and some quality time spent watching my Wings with my father, via a little 19 inch television which used an antenna to acquire limited channels.
Currently, I reside in Port Hope, Ontario, an area which televises the Toronto Maple Leaf and Ottawa Senator games. For better or worse, I follow the Leafs and the Senators as they continue to patrol separate ends of the League Standings. But like any hockey nut, there is never a hockey matter that I don't enjoy commenting on, especially with all the hype in this area.

Well first, I was born and raised in Naples, Florida. I've always loved the Panthers, especially after the magical 96' cup run. Since then, I've devoted a big portion of my life to hockey and the Panthers.
I've never been a fan of another sport, other sports just do not seem appealing to me. Funny huh? Hockey fans in Florida?!
